Energy efficient foam is a key component of the inner core of a VEKA Composite Door, providing the door with high levels of both thermal and acoustic insulation, equivalent of up to six times that of alternative products. The foam is environmentally friendly 100% CFC free Polyurethane.

Every style of VEKA Composite Door complies with the very latest Building Regulations which were announced in October 2010 and state that all doors must have a minimum U Value of 1.8. A U Value is a measure of the heat loss through a material and the lower the number, the better that material performs. Every VEKA Composite door performs better than the minimum standard set out in the Regulations - all styles achieve a U Value of 1.6 or less, with some styles boasting an impressive U Value of just 1.0.
