The guarantee for the installation of your VEKA Composite Door will lie with your chosen installer. However, in the unlikely event that there was a defect with the product (as opposed to the installation) then your installer can take advantage of a ten year performance guarantee on the door and glazing direct with VEKA.

 

Our Warranty Policy

Our warranty policy covers all of our fibreglass doors, to be free from faulty material that would render the door unfit for use, subject to the terms and conditions.

 

Damages

The warranty does not cover any fault or damage caused by the customer or by an installer in the installation of the door and or any acts performed to the door not in strict compliance with VEKA’s instructions and recommendation. The warranty will be deemed invalid if any original VEKA components are replaced.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser of the doors, and applicable only to doors installed in owner occupied homes and is not transferable.  The warranty period begins on the date of delivery by VEKA to its customer.

 

Make a Claim

If the product is anyway faulty or damaged whilst covered under this warranty, customers must comply with the following claim procedure:

 

  1. All warranty claims must be made in writing stating the nature of the fault.
  2. Customer’s written claim must include the following information
    1. Nature of fault
    2. Identification of product (VEKA’s Order Reference or Customer purchase order ref)
    3. Date of Delivery

 

  1. Upon VEKA’s request, the customer must allow VEKA to inspect the claimed faulty door and VEKA shall have 30 days from receipt of the customer’s written claim to follow this up.

 

 Repairs

In the event of a claim, VEKA will have the option to either repair the product or replace the damaged product with a similar design.  Both shall not affect the customer’s purchase price of the door.

In no event shall VEKA be responsible for shipping, labour, finishing expenses, removal or original product, installation of product, expenses or other charges.

 

Exemptions

There are may be a few instances in which may void this warranty, this could include, but is not limited to:

  • Fault/damage from shipment or transportation 
  • Installation
  • Cleaning
  • Maintenance
  • Finishing
  • Improper Glazing
  • Intentional Damage
  • Fire
  • Misuse or abuse or circumstances beyond the control of VEKA
  • Attempts to repair the product by someone other than VEKA or an authorised representative.
  • Fault/damage resulting from a customer’s failure to perform normal maintenance of the product.
  • Product used outside of the UK or Eire
