BSI Kitemark Certification
PVC-U Window Profile - BS 7413 Kite mark License KM 12875
Specifies the requirement for raw material and properties of the finished profile after extrusion for PVC-U windows and doors using impact modified material. Incorporates window size limitations & exposure categories based on assessment to BS 7412. Conformance to this standard is subject to regular ongoing surveillance and product audit testing by BSI
PVC-U Plastic Windows - BS 7412
Specifies types and requirements for material, construction, glazing, security, safety, functionality, weather tightness, operation & strength and thermal performance of PVC-U windows. To achieve BS7412, the profile must be accredited to BS 7413, several VEKA fabricators hold individual BS 7412 Kite mark Licences. Conformance to this standard is subject to regular ongoing surveillance and product audit testing by BSI.

BBA Agrement Certification
British Board of Agrément undertakes an in-depth review of the system supplier that includes their documented quality systems and product performance. In respect to window / door systems this results in the issue of comprehensive assessment reports. Based upon this, the fabricator can then apply for BBA certification. The BBA would then assess the ability of the fabricator to make products to the specification agreed between the system supplier and the BBA.
