A composite is something made up from several elements and this is also true of a Composite Door - it is made up of a timber sub-frame which is filled with high density foam. The surface of the door is coated with Glass Reinforced Polymer for a durable yet beautiful appearance and features a grained effect.
Composite Doors offer all the aesthetic benefits of painted or varnished timber, combined with the security, performance, low maintenance and long life expectancy of modern materials.
Bowater Doors is a company of the VEKA UK Group and part of VEKA AG, and has been established in the UK since 1986. VEKA is one of the largest extruders of PVC-U window profile in the world and are now also one of the foremost suppliers of high quality Composite Doors in the UK.
Bowater Composite Doors might look beautifully welcoming but they provide a formidable barrier against any would-be intruders. Every style of Bowater Composite Door is approved by the Police led initiative Secured By Design.
This accreditation is awarded only to those products which pass the stringent tests of the scheme, which was established by the Association of Chief Police Officers in order to promote home improvement products which meet the principles of ‘designing out crime’.
Bowater Composite Doors are also available with the optional Yale Electronic Door Viewer for the ultimate in home security
